Groceries, Meals, and More
Programs that help families access free or reduced price groceries and meals are available in communities all across Pennsylvania. Some of these programs, like food pantries, brown bag food programs, and community meals, operate all year long to provide take home food or safe, enjoyable places to enjoy a meal. Others, like after-school meal programs or summer food service programs, help families afford groceries and meals for their children during months when school is not in session.
We also encourage Pennsylvanians who need help with food and groceries for themselves and their households to look into community benefits like Food Stamps/SNAP or WIC. These programs help eligible households afford their grocery bills.

Child Care and Camps for Kids
During the summer months, it can be hard for working parents to find accessible, affordable child care. Licensed day care and extended day care programs are available in communities and help families know their children are safe and cared for while they go to work. In cases where child care is difficult to afford, some programs are able to help with the cost. It is better to reach out early because spaces in each program may fill quickly before the summer months.
If your family doesn’t need child care during the summer, but still want children to have access to peers, creative activities, athletic opportunities, and lots of fun over the school vacation, 211 can help you find summer camps, day camps, and special interest camps so children can continue to learn and grow throughout the year.
